For the past year or so emtel have been working with the Commerce Commission on a number of Geospatial Analysis projects.
Based in Wellington Martin has been on site providing Geospatial analysis and development of HTML viewer/reporting tools. This involves taking a datasets with address points, geocoding them, then incorporating them into a roading network model so that the distance between associated locations can be determined. The results are then wrapped in a single HTML file so that a user can select (via a map or list interface) various location and display summary information relating to the locations and the transactions between them.
This work has lead to a number of high profile reports being delivered by the Commerce Commission.
